Project Details

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is conducting a Planning Study in Northeast Tallahassee to evaluate possible capacity improvements to SR 61 (US 319) Thomasville Road and SR 261 (Capital Circle Northeast). The project limits on SR 61 are from Metropolitan Boulevard to the Bannerman Road / Bradfordville Road intersection. The project limits on SR 261 are from Raymond Diehl Road to SR 61. The intent of this study is to evaluate capacity improvements on Thomasville Road through roadway widenings, new facilities on new alignments and improvements to the existing network throughout Northeast Tallahassee.

Project Limits: SR 61/ US 319 (Thomasville Road): from Metropolitan Boulevard to Bannerman Road/Bradfordville Road, approximately 5 miles, and SR 261 (Capital Circle Northeast): from Raymond Diehl Road to SR 61/US 319, approximately 0.5 miles. The limits also extend to the east approximately 5 miles to include the critical connections of future Welaunee development and planned roadway network.
