The FDOT plans to widen three miles of State Road 22 (Wewa Highway) from US 98B to CR 2315 (Star Avenue). The existing two-lane roadway will be widened to a four-lane divided roadway with six and seven foot wide bicycle lanes, six foot sidewalks on the north and south, and intersection improvements at US 98B and US 98 (Tyndall Parkway). Pedestrian features at the six existing traffic signals will be upgraded to meet current Americans with Disabilities Act standards. The project is not funded for right-of-way acquisition or construction in the current FDOT Five-Year Work Program.
